Ed Harris , President

We welcome you the Siskiyou County Division of The California Retired Teachers Association. CRTA is the largest retired educators' organization in the nation. The core purpose of CRTA is "to protect and advocate for the interests of retired educators". Our association is built around the concept that we need to help one another to achieve what we cannot do alone.

Our Division has about 240 members. We join over 53,000 CRTA educators in working to sponsor pertinent legislation and to monitor the Legislature related to bills that affect retired educators. We also provide a variety of services and

programs to enhance and dignify the lives of our members.

Since we want to continually improve our effectiveness, we welcome ideas and suggestions from our members. We encourage our membership to take full advantage of the services, programs, and fellowship of our organization. We invite you to attend our general meetings which are held at noon on the second Thursday of September, November, March and May at Silva’s in Weed. Our Board meets one hour prior to the general meeting at the same location, and additionally in August for a budget meeting.

I look forward to hearing from you! Please feel free to contact me to find out how we can support one another!
